Feng Shui: Telling Love Stories
Once upon a time, over 3,000 years ago in China, Feng Shui geomancers sought the most favorable burial locations so that the remains of beloved, deceased family members
could be honored and protected. These Feng Shui practitioners were highly spiritual individuals,
whose keen senses led them to land that was healthy, verdant, serene and blessed. Later,
descendents of these masters were engaged to locate auspicious building sites for villages and
homes. The goals remained the same, if not more defined; now locating spaces favorable to the
prosperity, health, balance and serenity for the living.
The benevolent Eastern traditions of Feng Shui are increasingly sought out by many of us in the
Western World. Feng Shui practitioners can help us locate and arrange our homes and workplaces so
that these environments invigorate our health and creativity, support our goals and dreams,
stimulate abundant prosperity, enhance flourishing relationships, and nurture personal tranquility
and strength.
Feng Shui is based on the very practical philosophy that what happens in our lives is in constant
interplay with and a literal reflection of our environments. As Sir Winston Churchill appropriately
stated, "First we shape our dwellings, and then our dwellings shape us."
What story does your home tell about your life? Is there is visible clutter in the rooms you enter?
Do you stash it away in attics, basements or closets? If an illustration of chaos is included in
the story book of your home or workspace, it just might explain feelings of confusion, restlessness,
lack of creativity, inability to focus and move ahead with your dreams. If your home were a book,
how fulfilling are the chapters on romance, wealth and career? Have you included inspiring tales of
wisdom, bravery and integrity? Are you ready to write a "happily ever after" ending? Like Cinderella
and Pinocchio, you are about experience some very fun and enchanting transformations.
